About Martina
Wow, someone even cooler than the Gents! Martina S is an uber-sweet Toronto singer-songwriter whose recent gem The Cure for Bad Deeds was acclaimed by just about everybody. The 26-year-old's live shows are notable not only for her stunning musical talent, but for her foxy wit! Martina's so in love with wordplay in fact, that she professed a crush on Dan, this week's Punshine Boy. (Hey, not a bad catch!) With an album for Dragonette due this summer, we were fortunate to nab Martina for a Punshine snap. Yet with all that time at the studio, she admits to being the first to kick back with a pun or two: "I've got a real soft spot for puns and jokes," she says, "most of my friends are jokes." Hell yeah, Martina - you're singing our tune!
